The name zacusca is of Slavic origin which means breakfast, appetizer, or snack. This product is a traditional, homemade Romanian vegetable spread that is delicious on crust bread or even as a topping on rice for a quickie vegetarian meal.  It is also excellent as a sandwich spread. Refrigerate after opening.
